Before Melissa Metrano gave birth to her second daughter Aria, she wanted to upgrade her lackluster nursery. But the South Florida-based influencer, who has amassed 8 million TikTok followers for her relatable mom content, just didn’t know how to achieve the look she was going for. “The room was such a blank canvas, so I felt overwhelmed about where to start and how to style the space,” she admits. “I had a vision, but I needed help executing it and filling in the details!”

Melissa reached out to Havenly to guide her through transforming the plain white box into a feminine, cozy nursery where the whole family could gather during Aria’s frequent diaper changes and feedings. It needed a place for all five of them—including Melissa’s husband Harry, their first daughter Isabella, and their Maltese bichon Brady—to snuggle. “We are spending most of our time in there,” she explains.

Havenly designer Amanda Leather played off the existing ornate chandelier and channeled a glam aesthetic with a large-format floral mural accent wall, a tufted crib, a white-washed changing table, and flowy, floor-length curtains. For cuddling, there’s a cream-colored loveseat with light pink throw pillows. “This space brings me so much joy,” shares Melissa. “It is exactly what I wanted—only better than I could have imagined. It is so warm and beautiful!”

Crafting a Special Corner

Melissa’s favorite feature is the sweet nursing corner, which Amanda outfitted with a flamingo-hued upholstered glider chair, a curved floor lamp, brass floating bookshelves for storytime, a lattice side table, and a white furry rug that overlaps with the romantic area rug. “I would have never thought to layer rugs like that and it’s so cozy,” Melissa raves.

Paying Attention to Detail

Amanda helped Melissa complete the nursery with special decor items like four adorable, pink-matted animal art prints that were once Isabella’s, a verdant olive tree in a pot beside the loveseat, and little stuffed animals peppered throughout. “Her eye for detail and picking such thoughtful pieces for the space made all the difference,” Melissa muses. It really did.
